Viešvilė Reserve Visitor Center
In May 2019, a new exhibition was presented at the Viešvilė State Reserve Visitor Center. It aims to answer the most common question visitors have - what makes the reserve's nature special, and what is being preserved here.
The exhibition is tailored to various age groups of visitors, and each will find interesting information for themselves. There are also games and tasks for those who want to test their knowledge. The little guest of the reserve will feel like a king in the owl kingdom, where all the owls living in Lithuania are carved. The main exhibition of the Viešvilė Reserve is installed... on stairs. The stairs have seating areas and information carriers. Concise textual and visual information about the reserve's values is provided on the walls, while playful information about plants and animals is hidden on the steps of the stairs. The Viešvilė Reserve is the only breeding ground in Lithuania dedicated to restoring their population in the wild. So, in the observation rooms of the exhibition, not only are these majestic animals observed, but silence is also learned. On the screen and elsewhere in certain places, it will be possible to watch footage about nature and activities carried out by the reserve management. As soon as you enter the exhibition rooms, you will be greeted by the sounds of nature, and you can hear the singing of one bird or another.
