In the city of Tauragė, the memory of Vladas Putvinskis is honored - between Tauragė Castle and the Cultural Center, formerly known as the Šauliai House, a monument was erected in 1930, which was demolished, broken, and partly buried by Soviet soldiers during the post-war years. During the times of the revival, the monument was restored.
