Between 1944 and 1955, Lithuanian partisans who were killed were buried in the courtyard of the Skaudvilė NKVD. In 1990-1991, a memorial pillar was erected and consecrated, and a memorial plaque was unveiled next to the former NKVD building. A monument was erected in the courtyard of the NKVD headquarters in memory of the resistance fighters and their supporters from the 43rd Kęstutis District who were killed between 1944 and 1955. Symbolic crosses with the names of the deceased were also installed.
